Welcome to the official site for the Southwest Adventure Fest. SWAFEST is a 3 day off road, off grid camping event. It includes cookouts, off road games, activities and lots of great off road riding on the Western border of Arizona. Adventure motorcycles, 4×4’s, side by sides, and other off road vehicles welcome.
The Saddle Sore Ranch will serve as “base camp” for this event. During the day, explore miles and miles of off-road riding including the NVBDR, the old mining town and trails of Oatman, the moutaintop trails of Hualapai Mountain and many more. Then, enjoy nightly campfire parties, campfire music and campfire cookin’ back at the ranch.
WANT TO COME TO ONE OF OUR EVENTS, BUT DON’T WANT TO CAMP? The Saddle Sore Ranch is located between the cities of Kingman, AZ and Laughlin, NV which are only about 15 miles away. Both cities offer all of the services you may want. Including hotels, shopping, dining, WalMart and more… Laughlin is on the Colorado River, and also offers Las Vegas style casinos and gambling..
As an added bonus, the host location, the SADDLE SORE RANCH in northwestern Arizona is just off of Route 66, and at the gateway to the Nevada Backcountry Discovery Route (NVBDR). Either before, or after the event, feel free to tackle the BDR with your friends, or the people you met at the Southwest Adventure Fest.
Aside from the miles and miles of dirt roads, service roads, trails and desert washes that surround SSR without ever even hitting pavement, there are some old mining trails, and other established trails in the area. Guided and self-guided tours will be available. A detailed map will be given out at the Southwest Adventure Fest to these trails and others. They range in difficulty from Easy to Difficult. So, as you can see, there is plenty to explore for all levels of riders, motorcycles (big and small), and all other off road vehicles.
At SWAFEST, we camp, ride, cookout, party, have singalongs, horseshoes, bonfires and so much more… There is tons of riding at and around the Saddle Sore Ranch, and of course you can do the NVBDR in whole or in part if you choose to. See you at SWAFEST.
